Practical Kinesic Interview and Interrogation

Practical kinesic interview and interrogation is a training program that teaches multiphase behavioral analysis and tactical interrogation methods using advanced kinesic interview and interrogation theories. The course is designed to help interviewers maximize their ability to gain valuable information as quickly as possible.

Level 1 Course: Practical Kinesic Analysis Phase (24 Hours)
The practical kinesic analysis phase assists the interviewer in recognizing the cues of truthful and deceptive behavior generated by the subject.

The practical kinesic analysis phase discusses the following topics:

1) Verbal Cues - Identifying symptoms of speech quality.

2) Practical Kinesic Statement Analysis - Assessment of truth and deception through human recall.

3) Body Language Cues - Observing body language that is inconsistent with the speech quality generated by the subject.

4) Kinesic Subject Control - Discussion of various techniques available to the interviewer to take control and command of the interview (the use of enhanced information gathering skills).

5) Confession Behaviors - Identification and recognition of the verbal and nonverbal acceptance cues generated by a subject who is prepared to give an admission or confession.

Level 2 Course: Tactical Interrogation Phase (24 Hours)
The tactical interrogation phase uses practical kinesic analysis phase data with a customized interrogation designed to overcome personality type and defense mechanism behaviors to obtain confession.

The tactical interrogation phase covers the following topics:

1) The Stress Response States - Interrogating subjects under the stress of deception, using this stress to control and facilitate a confession.

2) The Primary Dominant Personalities - Identifying different subject personality types and using strategies to successfully interrogate and gain confessions from each type.

3) Sub-Verbal Encryption - Exploring the phenomenon in which an individual actually indicates through verbal encoding, personality type, criminal motivation, and situation response, streamlining productive information gathering.

4) Tactical Kinesic Interrogation - The intelligent combination of stress response state analysis, primary dominant personality identification, and subverbal encryption techniques to assist in gaining the admission or confession from even the most difficult subjects.

Level 3 Course: Advanced Tactical Interrogation (24 Hours)
The level 3 course of practical kinesic interview and interrogation is designed for interviewers and interrogators who are experienced in using the technique. Previous attendance in the level 1 and level 2 courses is required. This course exposes the interviewer / interrogator to advanced kinesic interview and interrogation skills. The course focuses in depth on the study of abnormal personality types and the special problems encountered with each. Emphasis is placed on recognition and identification skills and application of technique through video demonstrations.

This course covers the following topics:

1) The Stress Response States - Subjects under the stress of deception during the interrogation generate indentifiable responses to stress that can be controlled in order to facilitate confession.

2) The Primary Dominant Personalities - The identification of the different subject personality types and the appropriate strategies necessary to successfully interrogate and gain confessions from each type.

3) Kinesics of Excluded Personalities - The identification of personality types suffering from psychoses and affective disorders which the interrogator may encounter and which have kinesic behaviors exclusive to their particular disorders.

4) Tangent Personality Types - This section of the level III course discusses various personality disorders, recognition and assessment, and appropriate interview tactics to be used to overcome each one.

Level 4 Course: Advanced Practical Course (24 Hours)
A course designed to fine tune practical kinesic skills through controlled spontaneous interviews using volunteer subjects. Volunteer subjects are interviewed at a local, county, state, or federal corrections facility with the final day of the course being used to critique student's performance in the previous day's interviews. Previous attendance in the level 1, 2, and 3 courses is required.
